This isn't a concept. It's the life I live with them.

I know what it means to build a life around a dog. The routines. Paws on fresh sheets. A nose pressed against the window. The quiet weight of him leaning into you.
Thats why I look for the moments that feel like home.

Why me?

01.

I WORK WITH AWARENESS, NOT LUCK

I don’t rely on chance or endless shooting. When I photograph, I am fully present — aware of light, distance, background, and the subtle shifts between you and your dog. I build images deliberately.

What looks effortless is carefully observed.

02.

I UNDERSTAND THE QUIET LANGUAGE BETWEEN YOU

I am not interested in tricks or staged perfection. What matters to me is the way you naturally exist together — the small gestures, the pauses, the familiarity that doesn’t need explanation.

That quiet understanding is what I choose to preserve.

03.

I PHOTOGRAPH FOR MEMORY, NOT FOR DISPLAY

These images are not created for trends or social media performance. They are meant to last — to hold a season of your life, the ordinary days that will one day feel precious.

I take that responsibility seriously.

About me

My name is Zuzanna Pawelska but friends call me Zu. I grew up in a family of dog people, where dogs were never an accessory or a hobby but a natural part of everyday life. When I was ten, my father gave me my first camera — an old great Zenit. I didn’t understand much about technique then, but I understood the instinct to observe. Photography stayed with me quietly, long before I ever considered turning it into something more intentional.

Today I live and work with my own dogs, and losing one of them not long ago changed the way I see photographs. It made me realize how fragile the ordinary days are and how quickly they become memory. That experience clarified why I do this work: not to create perfect images, but to preserve what is real — the way you look at your dog, the way your dog stays close to you, the shared rhythm that defines your life together.

Misson

I create quiet, intentional portraits of people and their dogs.

My work is about preserving the ordinary moments that shape a shared life — the walks, the pauses, the familiar gestures that often go unnoticed.

In a world that moves fast and forgets quickly, my mission is to slow things down and give those moments a place to remain.

The photographs I create are not made for display; they are made to last.
